The abandonment of the child in the forest, the pilgrimage in search of the end of the world, the good fairy, the omens, the animated dolls that accompany the protagonist, the miraculous events, It allows us to situate what is the name of the movie 'Artificial Intelligence: Synthetic'. I mentioned at the beginning of this review the stylistic variety of the movie's very name, and I must insist now that this is a characteristic that, unlike what happens in so many simultaneous examples of the genre, the changes in style are in direct correspondence with the structure of the movie and the development of the plot. The three major narrative blocks into which we can divide the plot, first, in which the life of the android child David with his adoptive family is narrated, until his mother decides to abandon him in a forest; second, in which the encounter with the pleasure android Gigolo Joe occurs, his capture to be exterminated at the Meat Fair, the escape from this monstrous circus and the search for the Blue Fairy in that neon paradise that is Rouge CityMetropolis, a kind of Las Vegas Nevada, taken to the tenth power; and, third, the journey to the end of the world, a Manhattan submerged in the ocean and finally frozen in ice, where David receives an answer to his unbreakable desire to be a real child, correspond to very noticeable changes in style: luminous and refined. There can be no doubt that the presence of the android-child David, overwhelming throughout almost the entire film, gives unity to an adventure presided over by the search for meaning (the desire to become a human being and regain his mother's love).
